Breyer Custom Haired Constantia Bay Standardbred Mare Horse Trotter NANx3 Shoes

Breyer Custom Haired Constantia Bay Standardbred Mare Horse Trotter NANx3 Shoes
SOLD $449.99 Sold: May 28, 2024 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
I specifically started this mare with the performance shower in mind. Standardbreds wear so much equipment I felt like the real hair mane would really be the best way to allow for it. An overcheck, pop out ear plugs, headpoles, and anything else you can think to throw on her could all fit and hang naturally. Her braided forelock is only stuck to the side of her neck with a speck of tacky wax and could easily be put over under through any sort of bridle/hood etc. You could even unbraid it if you so desire.Besides that she's had her ears pinned a bit further than the original for a more serious racing look. I'll throw an in progress comparison photo at the end. She's been thoroughly prepped and primed. Painted mostly in oils with some pastel and acrylic details. I haired her mostly following Carol Williams tutorial, while using soft suri alpaca fiber. It might get flattened during shipping, but you can pretty easily bring it back by dampening the hair (trying to avoid glue) and setting her in front of the fan for a couple minutes to dry with a windblown look. I've used a little mousse in her tail at shows to get it extra high.I finished her up spending a few extra hours getting the real metal (Rio Rhondo) shoes fit shaped sanded but figured she needed them to finish off the total race horse package Completed in early July, I threw her right in the deep end and she earned her first NAN card in the BreyerFest Open Show. She got two more last month at Pumpkins and Ponies and comes with NAN and RegionX cards for both breed and workmanship. Will be well packed and insured. (Condition: Brand New)
